I’m glad you’re here! I’m Kayla, a portrait and wedding photographer serving North Alabama and surrounding areas. I’m a mother, photographer, and creative. I believe in people’s stories, and the love that they share along the way.

My purpose and how I work:
I believe that my purpose is to provide you as clients, who have blessed me to have this career and passion; with my best ability to make sure your story is expressed through images that matter to you.
It is my ultimate goal to provide you with images that you will cherish for years to come. Whenever your children ask what mommy looked like on her wedding day, it is important to me that you have a stunning photograph of yourself to show them. Because of the digital age we live in, few people print/hang/showcase their personal photos. If we work together, I promise to provide you with the tools you need to get these images off your screen and into your hands and on your living room walls.

I believe that all love is equally precious. The love you share between your spouse, your parents, and your children… I think it is all worth documenting. I have come across lots of clients who have not had photographs taken unless it’s a big event. I mean, like wedding day “BIG.” I want you to remember your everyday! What your daughter’s smile looked like at age one, what color your dad’s eyes are in the sun, and the things that make your heart soar.

When you work with me, I strive to make you feel comfortable and confident in my presence. I hope that while we are taking your photographs, you are yourself. While shooting weddings I do my best to capture moments and make you forget I am present. It is important to me that you enjoy your day and most of all that you’re provided with photographs to treasure for a lifetime!

Because of the way I work, I hope to be able to hand over photos to you that look something like this and represent the essence of your day…

About Kayla:
Alabamian since 2016   Photographer since 2009     Mother since 2015

My family is what my heart is composed of. My lovely, little daughter is my greatest blessing. I was born and grew up in Colorado, but for lots of reasons I just fit in better in the south. I used to think it was just how good the sweet tea is... But the longer I'm here, the more I realize it is so much more than that. Y'all are good people. (See what I did there? I said Y'all.)
Other than with a camera in my hand, you can find me: chasing around little kiddos, asking to pet dogs, enjoying a warm day in the park, scrap booking in my teal office and cuddling up with my family on the couch.

If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to talk with you! Feel free to call, send an email, or let’s meet for tea (or coffee, if that’s more your thing!)

Christ alone; cornerstone
Weak made strong; in the Saviour’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
